          ==================

1. THURSDAY NOON VIGIL FOR PEACE

Our weekly noon vigils are on Thursdays. We vigil for peace in front of the Rolla Post Office THIS THURSDAY, January 28, (and all subsequent Thursdays until peace is established) from Noon to 1:00 PM. Please try to join us. The temperature is predicted to be around 30 with a slight chance of rain. If you do not feel comfortable standing with us in front of the Post Office, please consider driving by and showing your support for our message by honking your horn and flashing a peace sign.

2. VANITY PARADE IN HAITI

US relief effort in Haiti condemned as "Vanity Parade," (click here). Aid to Haiti waits on delivery of Hillary Clinton's pant suit, (click here). Mark Danner gives us a little Haitian history that most commentators have forgotten (or never knew), (click here).

3. ANOTHER OBSCENITY IN GAZA

While the International Community is focused on the disaster in Haiti, Gaza is ignored and remains under brutal Israeli siege, (click here). In a truly obscene gesture, Israel compensates UN $10.5 Million for destruction of UN property during its 2008 invasion of Gaza, while continuing to block humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, (click here).

4. COCA SI, COCAINA NO

Bolivia shows the world how to fight the War on Drugs successfully, without help from US, (click here); a sharp contrast to Afghanistan where opium production has skyrocketed since the US invasion in 2001.
